SAEPA - South African Express Parcel Association

SAEPA is the South African Express Parcel Association, formerly the Courier Association. It is a Section 21 company not for gain. The Association comprises over 100 companies in the courier and express freight industry, including international and local companies, large, medium small and micro.

SAEPA conceived Wellness Express as a low income medical service (LIMS) offering primary health care, preventive medicine and occupational health care service for employees in the express freight industry, many of whom are otherwise dependent on scarce, slow and often inadequate public resources.

The Board of SAEPA, Ikhambi Care - a specialist health care solutions company - and international experts have collaborated for over eighteen months to create a program tailored to the specific needs of employees and employers in the express parcel industry.

SAEPA represents the interests of member companies by liaising with government and other authorities on matters of legislation, regulation and practice. It consults with key third parties such as Customs, Civil Aviation Authority, Airports Company of South Africa, The Postal Regulator at ICASA, The Department of Transport, Industry Training Bodies and other industry associations.
